The LAGO 26

as Sword & Keel

The LAGO 26 is available in two clearly defined versions: Sword and Keel. Both are based on the same boat, the same design and the same standards. It's not a question of better or worse - it's a question of how and where you sail. Sword or Keel is not a question of price, but a conscious operational decision.

The LAGO 26 Sword stands for maximum flexibility. The variable draught opens up areas that remain closed to other boats. Shallow inland waters, landing close to the shore or frequently changing locations are not a compromise here, but part of the concept. The boat is easy to trailer, simple to handle and adapts to the conditions rather than dictating them. The Sword version is aimed at sailors who value freedom and don't want to make their sailing area dependent on draught or infrastructure.

The LAGO 26 Keel takes a different, equally clear approach. The fixed draft ensures a constant, direct feel at the helm. The boat is calmer in the water, provides more stability and gives precise feedback - especially in coastal areas and performance-oriented sailing. If you are looking for clarity, predictability and a calm, confident sailing feel, the Keel version is the logical solution.

Important here: Sword and Keel do not differ in price. No version is an economy solution or a compromise. The decision is based solely on the application profile and personal priorities.

Regardless of the version selected, the LAGO 26 are the same at their core. She impresses with balanced, honest sea behavior and handling that remains relaxed even with a small crew or alone. Below deck, she surprises with a spacious cabin and noticeably more room than you would expect in this boat class. Instead of overloaded standard ballast, she focuses on sensible individualization. This makes it equally suitable for inland waterways and coastal cruising. It is a boat that can do more than it promises - and that is precisely why it inspires confidence.

Those who want to sail even more consistently sporty will also find clearly defined alternatives: For ambitious single-handed sailing the Speedster, for regatta use and crew the Speedster RS - without overlaps, without ambiguity.
